	Description Pentids is used for patients who have mild to moderate infections of the nose, throat, and ears.


	How to use It is best if you take this medicine on an empty stomach, one hour before meals or two hours after meals. Take the medicine until it is all gone unless your doctor has told you otherwise.

	Notes If you have ever experienced an allergic reaction to penicillin or cephalosporins, talk to your doctor before taking this medication. Severe allergies can include difficulty breathing.


	Missed Dose Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.


	Other Uses Pentids may also be given to treat meningitis and syphilis. Please seek further information from your health care provider


	Storage Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom).


	Precaution Tell your health care provider if you are taking: · beta blockers such as atenolol (tenormin), carteolol (cartrol), pindolol (visken), metoprolol (lopressor, toprol), timolol (blocadren), nadolol (corgard), and propranolol (inderal)
